I ordered the vegetable beef soup and it did not disappoint! There was plenty of tender beef pieces with a great variety of veggies. The hearty broth packed so much flavor! This is possibly the best soup I have ever had! I can't wait to come back to town and get more!

I checked out the reviews, and they were spot on. No wait to be seated in this open dining setting. My Cod entree included soup, salad, and potato—excellent, light and delicious breading. The server was correct about it being the best cod in Monroe County. It also was a welcomed surprise to get a bread basket with the meal. I also saved room for their famous Banana bread pudding. Fantastic! Flat top, booth, and bar seating. Excellent service. Daily specials. I would highly recommend it.

I moved to Monroe, about a year ago and have never been so impressed with a family restaurant as I am with this one. Amazingly enough, opinion remains the same after a year. The girls there are always nice & welcoming. But, most importantly they are efficient and the food is great each and every time I go there or order out. I have never not liked anything I have gotten from there. Couldn’t ask for a better place to be right down the street from. Keep up the good work Sal’s! Sincerely, happy customer.

Local diner family owned with all kinds of comfort food and many selections to choose from. Waitress Christy was very nice. Portions were large. Wife had spinach pie, which said was excellent. It came with mashed potatoes & a veggie. I had ham & cheese which had a lot of ham, very good. We both had the vegetable beef soup, which was home made. A Great local find.
